On February 28, in the house 11a, with the support of the administration of the Universiade Village, a creative furniture project competition was held, which was dedicated to the upcoming 45th world championship on professional skills Worldskills 2019.

The aim of the competition was to make a soft ottoman with the help of instructions and available material within 60 minutes. The children needed to assemble a frame, wrap it with a cloth and prepare a presentation of their product.

Four teams competed in creating ottomans: Karkas (Institute of Geology and Oil and Gas Technologies K (P) FU), IMO (Institute of International Relations), Economy (Institute of Management, Economics and Finance K (P) FU) and Amateurs (Graduate School of Information Technologies and Intellectual Systems and the Engineering Institute K (P) FU). The competition evaluated such qualities as: organization of work in a team, quality of connection and assembly, creative approach to decoration, originality of the presentation of the puff.

Representatives of the State University of the Republic of Tajikistan “Universiade Village” became the jury members: deputy mayor Lyudmila Pigaleva, chief engineer Foat Yalalov, specialist of the production and technical department Ranif Shafigullin. As well as a special guest - Alexander Vidineev, the master craftsman of the TechnoHub open carpentry workshop popular in Kazan.

Each of the participants distinguished himself in his own way. Someone with high-quality work, someone with a creative approach, someone with an original presentation ... But according to the results of jury assessments, the “Amateurs” team became the most creative. Congratulations guys with this victory!

All participants received souvenirs and diplomas, and the ottomans themselves, created by the students, will be able to take each of the teams to their home after a little work.
