March 6 Universiade Village became the center of cheerful spring festivities. After class, all the students went out together to spend the winter and meet the spring.

The celebration of Shrovetide began from 5th house. A friendly crowd with songs, chastooshkami and jokes the guys walked through the territory of the Universiade Village.

At the scene they were already waited by cheerful dances, a competition of festive costumes symbolizing the sun, and trials, for participating in which one could get delicious pancakes.

The evening was opened by the Mayor of the Universiade Village Ilnur Rakhimov, Deputy Mayor Lyudmila Pigaleva and Deputy Director for Social and Educational Work of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics named after NI Lobachevsky K (P) FU Peter Velikanov. They congratulated everyone on the upcoming spring and wished the students a good session.

The event lasted one hour. During this time, all the pancakes were eaten, and the guys from 17 houses of the Universiade Village were recognized as the best in the choice of costume.

The evening was very large and fun, in the best traditions of the celebration of Shrovetide, which ended with a solemn burning of stuffed animals.

In order to ensure the fire safety of the holiday, a volunteer duty and patrolling of the venue of the event was organized by the student volunteer fire brigade of the Village in uniform and combat clothing of the fire fighter. Firefighters were given with students.

The venue of the holiday was provided with primary fire extinguishing equipment, and a fire truck of the Universiade Village was also used for duty. Burning and burning the stuffed animal was carried out under the strict control of our volunteers. The whole event took place without incident. The remains of the dying effigy were skillfully extinguished by fire extinguishers.
