On April 4, with the support of ASDU K(P)FU and the Universiade Village Administration, many student activists gathered at a meeting with the President of the Students League at the ComeIn art space.

Welcoming speech was made by the initiator of the meeting, Alexey Abramov, Chairman of the Board of the Youth Association “Kazan Youth”, who gave the floor to our guest, a graduate of K(P)FU, Rufat Kiyamov.

Rufat lived for 5 years in the Universiade Village and personally knows what problems students face. Did he know then that he would head the organization “League of Students”? Of course not. Now everyone can ask him a question and find a solution to a problem.

For example, Kamron, a second-year student at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics K(P)FU, told about how difficult it is for university athletes to take time off from classes to participate in sports events. Rufat promised to raise this issue and offered to personally come to the office of the League, which is located at the address Gabdully Tukaya, 58.

At the request of students, the secrets of preparing for the “Student of the Year” competition were announced:

  1.     It is necessary to focus not on numbers and projects, but on problems to be solved.
  2.     There must be a “trick” in the speech, a bright self-presentation, a creative approach.
  3.     It is important to take feedback from the jury members.

During the conversation, the question was raised about the long lines at the Student Polyclinic. Rufat himself faced a similar situation, therefore a letter about this problem has already been sent to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The problem of transfer of students to the place of study was vigorously discussed. The President of the League called for participation in today's popular competition “Transport Grant”, and also said that the League team is already thinking about developing a social card for students on the model of Moscow.

Many more questions were raised during the meeting, on which Rufat Kiyamov advised to apply to the professors of the institutes and directly to the Students League.

Finally, he wished not to miss the opportunities that open up during the student days, to go ahead and attract the surrounding children to an active lifestyle.
